Shipping Delays Update: Challenges, Improvements, and Our Commitment to Better Service in the New Year

As we reflect on the past few months, we want to take a moment to address the global shipping challenges that many of our valued customers have faced. Between November and December, the peak holiday season brought immense pressure to logistics networks worldwide, leading to delays that were beyond our control.

We deeply regret the inconvenience these delays may have caused and want to share a transparent update about the reasons behind them, the actions we’re taking to improve, and our plans to ensure a better experience for you moving forward.


Why Have There Been Delays?

The holiday season—marked by Black Friday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas—represents one of the busiest times of the year for global logistics. This year, the overwhelming demand led to delays at nearly every stage of the shipping process.

1. Global Logistics Network Overload

  • Airlines and postal services were operating at maximum capacity, resulting in delayed flights, congested transit hubs, and slower customs processing.
  • Packages often faced extended waits at customs before being cleared for delivery.

2. Specific Regional Impacts

  • United States:

    • Packages from our Shenzhen warehouse to the U.S. took 2-3 times longer than usual.
    • USPS, our primary final-mile carrier, faced severe backlogs, delaying tracking updates and deliveries. Many customers saw tracking information stagnant until USPS facilities processed the packages.
  • Europe (France, UK, Germany):

    • European countries also experienced significant delays. Carriers like Colissimo, La Poste, Yodel, and Royal Mail reported backlogs due to increased package volumes.
    • Customs checks in Europe intensified, further slowing deliveries.
  • Canada:

    • A nationwide postal strike in November caused package backlogs, leaving many shipments stuck at airports. Although services resumed in December, the system is still recovering from the strike’s impact.
  • Other Regions:

    • Remote areas and countries relying on postal services saw delays due to customs queues and low-priority processing by local logistics partners.

Why Did You Receive a Review Request Without Receiving Your Package?

We understand that some customers recently received automated review requests before their packages arrived. Here’s why this happened:

  • These emails are triggered automatically based on our standard shipping timelines. Typically, they are sent 14-16 days after a package is dispatched.
  • Under normal circumstances, most packages are delivered within this timeframe, allowing customers to submit feedback.
  • However, due to the current delays, some customers received these emails prematurely.

We sincerely apologize for the confusion and appreciate your understanding. If you have concerns about your order, please don’t hesitate to contact us.


What Are We Doing to Improve?

At 1ST XULIE Jewelry, we are committed to providing a seamless shopping experience. To address these challenges and ensure better service in the future, we are implementing significant changes to our logistics operations:

1. New Logistics Partnerships

  • First-Mile Partner:
    • We are partnering with WANB Express to handle shipments from our Shenzhen warehouse to destination countries more efficiently.
  • Expanded Final-Mile Carriers:
    • United States: UPS, ACI, Uniuni, Piggyship, alongside USPS.
    • United Kingdom: Yodel, Royal Mail, Evri, Relay.
    • France: Colis Privé, La Poste, Colicoli.
    • Germany: DHL Express, Hermes.
    • Other Countries: Additional postal and logistics options to ensure faster, more reliable delivery.

2. Enhanced Logistics Monitoring and Security

  • We are closely tracking delayed orders from the past two months to ensure they safely reach our customers.
  • For packages lost or stopped in transit, we are arranging replacements to ensure every customer receives their product.

3. Long-Term Improvements

  • While shipping times are expected to normalize in January, our new partnerships will help us provide consistent, reliable service even during peak periods.

A Message to Our New Customers

If you’re a first-time customer, we want you to know that these delays are not a reflection of our usual service standards.

Before November, most of our shipments arrived within 5-8 days in most regions, with consistent reliability and speed. We hope you’ll give us the opportunity to demonstrate the high level of service we’re known for once these challenges are behind us.
